58' Taswell
The Taswell 58AS deck salon is built by the premier builder in the orient-TaShing. The boat was designed for both speed and comfort. This is demonstrated by the fact that this boat has been First in Class and First Overall in both the Caribbean 1150 and the Atlantic Cup. It is equipped for double handling by a couple and is prepared for world cruising. The present owners have lived aboard for the last 4+ years, travling from the Chesapeake to the Caribbean each year. The entire interior has been professionally decorated.
The front cabin is the guest stateroom and includes an island style queen berth, a cedar lined hanging locker and multiple cabinets for storage. There is an ensuite access to the forward head. The forward head also serves as the day head with a separate door from the corridor. The head contains a separate shower stall with a solid door. To port side, is a second cabin with larger than twin siz bunk berths; the top berth folds down to create a couch. There is a single hanging locker as well as ample cabinets and drawers in this cabin. The space under the lower berth has been converted to a pantry. The main saloon uses the entire beam of the boat. In the All Season version, the ceiling height is over 7' in the saloon and galley. To port is a dinette that seats 7 comfortably. To starboard are tow love seats with a cocktail table, glass and wine storage, an entertainment center and a cabinet for an ink-jet printer. The navigation station is further aft on starboard. All electronics and electrical service are controlled from here. Computer interface with the AIS receiver, GPS, printer, PACTOR modem and Globalstar phone is present. The galley is a Pullman type and contains a Force 10 stove and oven, a U-Line icemaker, a Broan trash compactor, double stainless sinks and over-under fridge/freezer. Access to the engine, genset and other mechanics is excellent and is added by multiple removal doors to the engine room. the aft or master stateroom contains a queen island berth, a dressing table, two cedar lined hanging lockers as well as multiple cabinets and drawers for storage. The aft head has a separate shower. Within the shower is the washer/dryer in its own locker. There are thirteen opening ports and nine ceiling hatches for ventilation. Three separate air conditioning units serve the interior living spaces. Top side the boat is set up for a couple to handle easily. All control lines are led to the cockpit and all instrument and navigational controls are at the pedestal. The cockpit can be completely enclosed with curtains or screens depending on weather. SPECIAL DELIVERY has been constantly upgraded and maintained which is why she is in "like-new" condition and ready to sail the world with her new owners. Please note that the Taswell 58AS comes with the patented Scheel Keel in lead for safety and performance.

DECK/COCKPIT:
Cutter rig w/foredeck space between Mast & Furling staysail designed to stow up to 11' dinghy. The sidedecks are easy to get around + there is a 5" Bulwark for good footing. Spacious cockpit with comfortable seating w/all lines led to electric winches in cockpit. Cockpit is completely enclosed in Eisenglass + or screens. Custom aft storage lazarette on aft deck w/quarter seats built into stern rails. Deck is fiberglass w/teak caprail & bronze half round for rub rail protection.

Safety equipment includes: Caribe 11' rigid inflatable dinghy w/ Yamaha 15hp 4 cycle outboard, 6 man Avon ocean liferaft-new 2008, MOM 8A & life sling
RECENT CHANGES:
Include new cockpit cushions, sail maker service on all sails, refinished floors, redo on all exterior brightwork. Replacing heads with Raritan Elegance heads. Vessel is kept in Bristol condition
